SIL and ILO
Supported Independent Living (SIL) - Funded under NDIS, SIL services are used to provide assistance with, or supervision of, daily tasks. This is to assist participants to live as independently as possible while building their skills in a supportive environment. SIL is best suited to participants who require high levels of support. Therefore, you will require significant assistance throughout the day.
SIL funding pays for personal supports, such as personal care assistance and meal preparation. The SIL program can help you develop these skills, so you can become more independent. To determine the right supports to suit individual needs, interests, and preferences, the CnC Disability team works closely with participants and their families.
Independent Living Options (ILO) - Providing support in daily living, CnC helps people with NDIS funding live independently in their own homes or in shared accommodation.
Prior to entering the exploration and design stage of an ILO, you may want to take time to consider what's important about where and with whom you will live.
